CALIFORNIA: The popular online meeting portal Zoom is working on a new feature called ‘attendance status’ to help the host track the number of participants and the time of their arrival.
The host will be able to track late attendees and those who have not joined the session, along with re-inviting participants by clicking ‘Ask to Join,’ through which a customised message could also be sent to the participants who are missing.
The feature is undergoing beta tests, after which Google and Outlook will also fully have the feature.
The Zoom application is working on different features as well, including more options for polls in which responses can be matched and ranked, fill in the blanks, and long or brief answers. It is also working to design a better slide control system.
