CALIFORNIA: Devices that are not updated with the latest operating systems will be unable to use WhatsApp post November 1. Samsung Galaxy S3, Huawei Ascend Mate and iPhone 4 are likely to be affected from the latest announcement by one of the popular chat apps, WhatsApp.

For Android users, the devices should run on 4.1 or higher OS in order for them to continue to access the app. Devices running on Android Jellybean, an operating system from 4.1 to 4.3, will support the popular chat app.

As for iPhone users, the users will need iOS 10 or higher in their devices.

Devices running on OS 4.0.4, commonly known as Ice Cream Sandwich, will no longer be supported to run the app.
