Syngenta Pakistan joins hands with Sehat Kahani to provide Digital Healthcare services to Farmers

Karachi: 12th October 2022 – Syngenta Pakistan, a leading agriculture innovation and technology company providing crop protection, biologicals, seeds and crop-enhancement products, has signed an MoU with Sehat Kahani, Pakistan’s leading digital healthcare platform, to provide digital healthcare services to the farmers in the most severely flood-hit areas of the country.

The recent superfloods in Pakistan have severely damaged the infrastructure in various regions thus making it extremely difficult for rural communities and farmers to access quality healthcare services. In this time of need, Syngenta Pakistan stands with its farmers and has stepped forward by partnering with Sehat Kahani to establish a medical consultation helpline which will provide round the clock healthcare access to the most vulnerable growers and their families.

The General Manager of Syngenta Pakistan – Zeeshan Haseeb Baig addressed the signing ceremony and stated that: “Our growers are at the center of everything we do. Syngenta has a long history of being innovative when it comes to serving our growers’ needs. Through this unique collaboration with Sehat Kahani, our growers and their families will be able to have immediate access to healthcare experts. Our partnership comes at a time when many communities in flood-impacted areas are fighting water-borne diseases. We believe that this initiative will contribute to the wellbeing of our growers.”

The Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sehat Kahani – Dr. Sara Saeed said that: “I am thrilled to announce the signing of this resourceful partnership with Syngenta.  This strategic partnership will enable the farmer-families across remote areas, to call our healthcare professionals and get online consultations, instantly. This initiative promises great benefits to rural communities, especially during the current flood crisis that has impacted millions of farmers and their families.
