LAKKI MARWAT: An unfortunate incident took place in Wanda Shahab Khel where six police officers were martyred in a gun attack. The local police said the unidentified miscreants fired at the police mobile while it was on a routine patrol.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated the investigation. The deceased souls included driver Dil Jan, Constable Mahmood Khan, sepoy Usman Ali, Lower Head Constable Zubair, Constable Ahmed Nawaz and ASI Ilm Deen.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have condemned the attack. Mr Sharif in his statement expressed sorrow over the incident. Meanwhile, Khan has directed IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to submit the investigation report.
