KARACHI: Senior artist of Pakistan entertainment industry Sohail Asghar passed away here on Saturday. His health deteriorated following a gastric surgery. He was severely ill for more than a year.
His funeral prayers were held on Sunday in Bahria Town, Karachi after which he was laid to rest.
Sohail Asghar was born and raised in Lahore, and started his career with Radio Pakistan as a jockey in 1978. He also worked in theatre and later became a prolific actor with dramas like Chand Girhan, Kajal Ghar, and Laag.
He also served the film industry in films like Mah-e-Noor and Murad.
The whole entertainment industry mourned his death and sent condolence messages to the deceased’s family.
