ISLAMABAD: Amidst the threat of a possible suicide bombing in the capital of Pakistan, the Islamabad police have issued a security plan and developed security check posts in 25 different locations. Safe city cameras are installed at the entrances of the Red Zone for vigilance. Police said they would also keep the video record of passengers travelling through the metro bus service.
The citizens are advised to keep their identification documents with them and make sure their vehicles have the number plates issued by the excise department. Strict action will be taken against those who don’t have legal number plates and registered vehicles.
In order to ensure safety the Islamabad police advised the landlords to register their tenants at the nearest police stations. Similar directions are issued for companies regarding their employees.
Saudi Arabia and Australia have also told their nationals in Pakistan to avoid unnecessary movements. The government of Australia has asked Australian citizens to limit travel within Islamabad.
