As Pakistan recently removed the fuel subsidies as per the demands of the International Monetary Fund. The people started wondering whether this would affect the middle and lower class the most. To facilitate middle and low-income households, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has announced the Sasta Petrol scheme. Women and households whose entire income is less than Rs40,000 will be able to benefit under the Sasta Petrol scheme.
All the people would have to do would be to send their CNIC numbers to 786. The government will provide, Rs2000 every month to needy families under the petrol subsidy and the Sasta Petrol scheme in Pakistan. It is important to remember here that the beneficiaries of the BISP would not be required to send their details as they would automatically be entitled to the monthly, Rs2000 amount.
