Quota allocated for women and transgender persons under ‘Ehsaas Rehribaan’ project

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Dr Sania Nishtar on Sunday has announced a special quota for women and transgender under the ‘Ehsaas Rehribaan’ project. The initiative is taken to ensure respectable employment opportunities and empower women and transgender persons.

While addressing the press conference, she deemed the project a challenging initiative. The programme in the initial stage will be implemented in the G-8, G-10, and G-11 sectors of Islamabad. Few peddlers in the aforementioned sectors have already been facilitated under the project.

The project will be expanded to the whole city with a clear mechanism, moderating transparency and providing the facility without favouritism.
