PPP and PML-N to initiate negotiations with PTI

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party have agreed to initiate negotiations to steer the country out of the crisis. According to the details, the delegation of PPP and PML-N met with the leaders of Awami National Party to ease the tense political environment across the country. In the meeting, PPP and PML-N agreed to negotiate with PTI.

Former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani led the delegation of PPP. The delegation included Naveed Qamar and Qamar Zaman Kaira. PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq welcomed the members of PPP on behalf of his party. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Tanveer and Khawaja Saad Rafiq represented PML-N.

Negotiations and Dialogue are the only way out

PML-N leader and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the Judiciary & Parliament are standing against each other, and political parties should improve the situation through dialogue. He said negotiations are the only way out of crises in a democracy. He further said that it is necessary to adopt a tolerance approach for the stability of democracy.

Yusuf Raza Gilani highlighted similar points during the media briefing. He said that the negotiations with the allied parties are underway, and after reaching a consensus, they will talk to other parties. The former PM said that the nation is looking towards political leadership, and they have started talks with allies to create an environment for negotiations. Yusuf Raza Gilani said that they worked together to eradicate terrorism. He pointed out that people are angry and worried. Regarding economic stability, the PPP leader believed that it would come along with political stability. He further added that dialogue is the best way to economic development.

On this occasion, Awami National Party leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that the All-Party Conference would be held on May 3. He added that invite to attend the meeting would be sent to all political parties.
