TANK: Two policemen have lost their lives in as many days to violent attacks on police teams providing security to the polio vaccination teams here on Saturday and Sunday. According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the attacker escaped successfully after killing the second policeman outside a health facility.
On Saturday, a team of polio workers had been attacked in Tank by a group of unknown shooters in which one police officer had embraced martyrdom while defending it.
The team of polio workers was accompanied by a unit of police and Frontier Corps (FC) representative when assailants on a motorcycle started firing on security, martyring an officer and injuring another who was admitted to hospital.
