On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed the will to boost trade, cultural and bilateral relations between Turkey and Pakistan. During a meetup with the business community of Turkey, the prime minister said that the Turkish people and President Tayyip Erdogan should know that Pakistan wanted to genuinely work with Turkey.
Mr Sharif is currently on a three-day visit to Turkey with special assistants to the prime minister Tariq Fatemi & Fahd Husain, Minister for Investment Board Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Mr Sharif said that Pakistan and Turkey had supported each other, and hundreds of Turkish businessmen invested in Pakistan from 2008 to 2018. He wished for successful collaboration in alternative energy, textile, agriculture, and the automobile industry.

The Foreign Minister of Turkey also expressed a similar desire and urged to solidify relations in multiple sectors.
