ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Minister Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan would address the nation in the evening.

According to the tweet, PM Imran Khan will brief the nation about the global situation following the Russia-Ukraine crisis. He will also take the public into confidence regarding the changing economical conditions due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the challenges faced by Pakistan globally.

Sources claim that Imran will also announce the decision regarding petroleum prices which may increase after March 1. Earlier on Sunday, Mr Khan had a consultation meeting with the economic team in which the effects of the global crisis on Pakistan’s economy were discussed.

Chairman Oil & Gas Regulation Authority Masroor Khan had previously hinted at a hike in petroleum products’ prices in the international market during the National Assembly Standing Committee meeting.
