ISLAMABAD: According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected any further increase in petroleum prices. The petroleum products will continue to sell at the same prices for the remainder of November.

The petrol price will remain at Rs. 145.82 per litre, light diesel at Rs. 114.07 per litre, diesel will be available at Rs. 142.62 per litre, and the kerosene oil at Rs. 142.62 per litre.

The notification said that the decision was made while keeping the public relief in mind. The government will put up with the financial burden, due to the decision, by adjusting the sales tax rates.

“Despite rising petroleum product prices globally, the prime minister of Pakistan has kindly rejected the proposal for enhancement in the prices and desired that the prices of petroleum products from 16th November 2021 shall remain the same … for providing maximum relief to the general public,” read the notification.
