Pakistan records lesser number of Covid cases for second consecutive day

ISLAMABAD: The number of positive Covid cases came down second day straight as the country recorded 5,196 confirmed cases, down from 6,357 yesterday. The test positivity ratio, however, remained over 10 per cent for the sixth consecutive day.

The total number of the cases is nearly 1.4 million with the death toll standing at 29,137. The NCOC reported 15 more fatalities across the country in the past 24 hours. The most number of cases and deaths were reported from Sindh.

The country is currently fighting the fifth wave of the coronavirus. Karachi continues to top the list with the most number of positive test cases all over Pakistan.
