Pakistan opener Abid Ali ‘stable’ after chest pain complaints

KARACHI: Pakistan Test cricketer Abid Ali was taken to a hospital after he complained of severe chest pains on his left side during a game of the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy here. Abid was batting at 49 not out.

According to a Pakistan Cricket Board spokesperson, his condition is said to be stable but the doctors are running some tests as a precautionary measure. The spokesperson added that the pains have subsided and “he is all fine”.

Twitter was however quick to react to the news with hundreds of fans and journalists sending prayers Abid’s way.

Frightening news coming through about our very own Abid Ali.

He's been rushed to the hospital after experiencing chest pain during a QeT match.
