LAHORE: After a collapse in the first innings, Pakistan have showed some resilience in the second innings as they ended Day 4 at 73/0 while chasing a target of 351. Earlier, Australia declared their second innings on 227/3 with a lead of 350.
The day started with Australia resuming their batting from 11/0. Pakistani bowlers struggled as Usman Khawaja scored a brilliant 104* runs off 178 deliveries. David Warner scored a fighting 51 off 91 balls. Australia declared the innings at 227/3. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Nauman Ali picked one wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan had a steady start as openers Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq batted responsibly and remained not out at 42 and 27, respectively. Pakistan need 278 more runs to win the third Test and the first-ever Benaud-Qadir Trophy.
