Mufti Taqi Usmani urges politicians to not engage in verbal bouts

KARACHI: Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani tweeted in disbelief on Monday his shock at the language being used by the government and the opposition ahead of the no-confidence motion. He wrote “Islamic rules and values are being violated in political disputes”.

— Muhammad Taqi Usmani (Official) (@muftitaqiusmani) March 14, 2022

He urged both the parties to refrain from engaging in verbal bouts. The government and opposition have been going at each other in a relentless manner since the filing of the no-confidence motion. The leaders from both sides have even resorted to sending personal threats the others’ way.
