Met Office forecasts heatwave-like conditions in Pakistan for next 10 days

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department released the 10-day weather forecast, predicting heatwave-like conditions across the country due to exceeding upper atmosphere pressure.

Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan will experience extreme temperatures from March 30, 2022, to April 08, 2022. During the day, the temperature scale could increase by 9-11 degrees Celsius in Central Balochistan, Sindh, and South Punjab.

The upper areas of Punjab, the federal capital, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will face a 8-10 degree Celsius rise in day temperature.

The Met Office also said that humid and hot weather would prevail during Ramadan’s first week. The authorities concerned have recommended public to protect themselves from direct sunlight exposure.
