Magical Grammy Awards night; Beyonce breaks record for most Grammys, Harry styles surprise win and much more

LOS ANGELES: Iconic pop singer Beyonce has shattered the record for most Grammy awards won. Her tally of prestigious music awards soared to 32 and passed the number of classical conductors Late Georg Solti. However, she still couldn’t win the Best Album category and this time lost to British singing star Harry Styles. Beyonce has never won a Grammy for Best Album.

While receiving the award, Beyonce controlled her emotions and thanked God for protecting her. She thanked her family and the queer community for showing love and support. Other than Beyonce breaking the record, the Grammy’s night was full of memorable events and moments. Harry Styles was surprised on receiving the award for Best Album. Harry said that he took inspiration from all the artists included in the category. He added that there is no ‘best’ in the music.

For the record of the year, ‘About Damn Time’ by Lizzo surpassed all nominees. She dedicated the victory to Late Prince and said that he inspired her to positive music. Lizzo also mentioned Beyonce and said she skipped school to attend the concerts of the pop star.

Bonnie Raitt won the Song of the Year award for ‘Just Like That’. The song was about an organ donor, which received global praise. The award for Best Musical Urban Album went to Bad Bunny for ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’. Kendrick Lamar was honoured with the Best Rap Album for ‘Mr Morale & the Big Steppers’.
