KE users may get relief on next month’s electricity bills

ISLAMABAD: The consumers of the K-Electric (KE) may receive substantial relief from next month. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has hinted to reduce the power tariff for KE users by Rs7.83 per unit. The cut will be applied following the fuel charges adjustments.

The decision is expected by November 30, as NEPRA will hold a public hearing on the request of KE to reduce the power tariff.

Earlier, NEPRA had reduced the power tariff by Rs5.13 per unit on account of fuel cost adjustments for September 2022.
