LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has raised suspicions of Indian involvement in the recent murder of Amir Sarfraz Tamba, a figure associated with the death of Indian terrorist Sarabjit Singh in 2013.
Speaking at a press conference held at the regional office of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Monday, Naqvi hinted at a potential link between India and Tamba’s killing, citing previous similar incidents.
According to Naqvi, Tamba’s murder follows a pattern reminiscent of four previous killings, all of which were allegedly connected to Indian interference. While investigations into Tamba’s fatal shooting in the Islampura police precinct on Sunday are ongoing, initial suspicions have pointed towards Indian involvement.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Tamba ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Police have launched an investigation into the incident based on the complaint of victim’s brother, Junaid Sarfraz.
