PTI faces major blows as Shireen Mazari and Fayyaz Al Hassan Chohan resigned from party.

May-23-2023 proved to be a day of setbacks for Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf as two of their prominent leaders decided to part ways with the party. First, Shireen Mazari announced quitting active politics and PTI due to health & family issues. Right after her announcement, Fayyaz Al Hassan Chohan decided to resign from the party.

Shireen Mazari quits PTI and politics

Dr Shireen Mazari called a press conference right after her release and said that she condemns the events of May 9 & all kinds of violence. She added that attacking state institutions is more condemnable.

Re-calling her arrest period, she said that her health deteriorated & daughter also had to go through ordeals during the 12 days she spent in arrest; following these circumstances, she decided to leave active politics.
