Imran Khan secures protective bail in seven cases pertaining to clashes at Federal Judicial Complex

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has secured protective bail in the seven cases registered against him following the clashes at the Federal Judicial Complex.

He was present at the Islamabad High Court in a bid to seek protective bail in seven cases registered against him. The cases have been registered against him after the quarrel at the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC).

PTI’s Twitter account posted a video of Khan entering inside the court with police personnel surrounding him from all sides in view of his threats to his life.

Cases against Khan had been registered in Golra, Bara Kahu, Ramna, Khanna, and CTD police stations, linking him to the clashes that took place on March 18 outside the FJC. Khan’s counsel argues that the government wants to arrest Khan in a bid to further its plans of sidelining an or eliminating him completely from Pakistan politics.

Meanwhile, Shireen Mazari has accused the police of arresting “4 unarmed civilians without having committed any crime”. One of the civilians is said to be the official photographer of PTI who was with Khan on way to the Islamabad High Court.

These 4 unarmed civilians, one of whom is our official photographer, were with IK car on way to IHC & were arrested without having committed any crime & now apparently taken to Ramna police station. Then we are targeted for criticising the ICT police! pic.twitter.com/ox8oWOoMC5
