Imran Khan announces long march against coalition government on May 25

On Sunday, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a long march to Islamabad against the incumbent government on May 25. The decision was made public during the core meeting of PTI in Peshawar.

Khan, in his announcement, said that he was inviting people from all nooks and corners to join them and lead the country to true freedom. During the news conference, he said to start the march at 3:00 PM from Srinagar Highway.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran was initiating a civil war. He added that nation would not forgive chairman PTI and shall grab him by the collar. Regarding calling the army, Shehbaz said that the decision would be made after foreseeing the conditions. Rana Sanaullah, Interior Minister, remarked that allies and government would later decide whether to allow Khan on entering the federal capital.

On the other hand, Mishal Malik – wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik has appealed to Khan to shift the long march two days ahead as her husband would be sentenced on May 25.
