Humayun Saeed to star in Netflix’s ‘The Crown’

KARACHI: The social media was abuzz on Sunday night with news of the legendary Pakistani acting phenomenon Humayun Saeed joining Netflix’s hit series The Crown as cast member. According to senior journalist and Dawn Eos Editor Hasan Zaidi, Saeed will play the role of Dr Hasnat Ahmad Khan, Lady Diana’s ‘true love’.

Zaidi added that it was only a matter of time before the announcement was made by the streaming platform Netflix itself. Saeed will be the first Pakistani actor to star in a Netflix original as no other Pakistani actor has featured in an original as yet.

He is set to play the role of Dr Hasnat Ahmed, whom the Lady Diana called her ‘Mr. Wonderful’ and who was in a relationship with the princess from 1995 before breaking it off in 1997.
