DUBAI: Former Australian legend cricketer, Matthew Hayden, who is working as a batting consultant for Pakistan at T20 World Cup, has labelled the destructive Pakistani opening duo Babar-Rizwan as ‘unique’. He was speaking to the AFP here on Thursday.
He said that the two despite being unique blend very well with each other. “Babar and Rizwan have created a unique opening for themselves.
“They are very independent players with their own styles but that blend and mix make for the perfect combination,” said Hayden.
He added that it had been special watching the two bat at the World Cup so far.
“They are unique and it’s special to watch the way they have gone about playing in this World Cup. They chased down a target against India for victory in a perfect run chase, none down for a victory that Pakistan will remember,” remarked Hayden.
Babar-Rizwan opening pair now holds the record for the most 100+ partnerships in T20Is.
