ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s prolific middle-order batter Fawad Alam has joined the ongoing training camp for Sri Lanka Tests. The Sri Lanka-bound Pakistan Test squad is in Islamabad to finalise its preparations for the two ICC World Test Championship fixtures next month.
The squad is training at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi and will continue to train till July 1. Players who are in England for country cricket – Azhar Ali, Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood – will not be part of the camp and will join the team ahead of its departure for Sri Lanka on July 6 from Lahore.
Pakistan are set to tour for Tests after a long gap of seven years. The last time the two sides clashed in Tests in Sri Lanka, Pakistan won the series.
