An alleged rape case was reported in the Karachi branch of a renowned textile company. However, the story has been deemed fake and a blackmailing attempt by those who started the rumour, say police officials. Notable news reporters have also confirmed that the story is a hoax.

According to the news reported by different sources, a female employee was asked to stay late after office hours and was drugged, after which she lost consciousness. Allegedly, 20-22 men sexually assaulted her the entire night on the premises of the Human Resource office. The victim tried to leave the office around 6:00 am but passed away outside the building. Other sources claim she was killed during the rape.
After the news broke out, social media was left aghast and called out notable news channels for not reporting the incident. But the police investigation unveiled that the incident was faked in an attempt to blackmail the company.
