Covid positivity ratio remains less than 1pc in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest tweet by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the positivity ratio of coronavirus stayed less than 1 per cent in the last 24 hours, standing at 0.89 pc, slightly higher than the positivity ratio recorded on Sunday and reported on Monday.

Authorities conducted a total of 35,332 tests in the last 24 hours of which 315 cases tested positive. Sindh reported the most number of cases with 164 while Balochistan had the fewest cases and reported only nine Covid positive patients.

The federal capital and Gilgit-Baltistan had 25 cases collectively, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 40 cases. Punjab reported less than 100 infections for fourth consecutive day.

According to the NCOC, five patients passed away in the last 24 hours due to Covid, and 1026 patients are in critical condition.

The total tally for the vaccines administered across the country on Monday was 456,029. Overall, across the country, 121,158,338 people are vaccinated.
