Covid-19 positivity ratio falls below 5pc in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has shared the latest stats of Coivd-19 in Pakistan for the last 24 hours. According to the NCOC, the positivity ratio dropped below 5 per cent and was recorded at 4.97pc as 2,465 people tested positive for Covid-19 out of the total 49,553 tests conducted.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported the most number of cases with 966 cases and 20 deaths. Sindh reported 634 positive cases and 15 deaths, followed by Punjab where 590 people tested positive and 10 patients died.

Azad Jammu & Kashmir had 138 positive cases and reported two deaths, while the federal capital recorded 111 Covid-19 cases and two deaths. Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan collectively reported 26 cases.

During the last 24 hours, 49 people died due to the virus and 1,534 patients remain under critical care. Until now, 204,441,222 people have received the Covid vaccine including 1,276,796 vaccinations in the last 24 hours.
