‘Content quality on OTT platforms has declined,’ says Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Veteran Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui lashed out at streaming platforms for not delivering quality content. He spoke about the compromised quality of content during an interview.

The ‘Sacred Games’ actor said that when the online content started it had a certain challenge and excitement, and opportunities were given to new talent. But over time, the freshness in content had vanished.

He added that quantity had killed quality as producers were making lucrative deals, and OTT actors had forgotten that content was the king as they were trying to behave like A-list actors of Bollywood.

Nawaz has spoken against the deteriorating quality of OTT platforms in the past. He even announced not to work in any of the OTT’s shows as redundant shows were being ‘dumped’ on the platforms.
