ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, took the oath as the foreign minister of Pakistan. President Arif Alvi administrated the oath-taking ceremony.
Bilawal became a member of the National Assembly in 2018. The 33-year-old had earlier hinted that he would accept the role as a federal minister. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari congratulated her brother on the new role through her Twitter handle.
Today @BBhuttoZardari will take oath as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister in this unity government – decided by #PPP CEC & we couldn’t be more proud of him! Already outshone in Parliament & always stuck to his democratic values – excited to witness this path إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ ♥️🤲
