Bilawal sworn in as foreign minister of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, took the oath as the foreign minister of Pakistan. President Arif Alvi administrated the oath-taking ceremony.

Bilawal became a member of the National Assembly in 2018. The 33-year-old had earlier hinted that he would accept the role as a federal minister. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari congratulated her brother on the new role through her Twitter handle.

Bilawal said that the new coalition government has many challenges ahead of it, and all members would have to work together to tackle every hurdle.
