KARACHI: According to reliable sources, The Upcut has learnt that star performers of the Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi have opted to not play the Big Bash League.

The joint-number one T20I batter Babar, highest T20 run-scorer of the year Rizwan and star fast bowler Shaheen will not play this year’s edition of Australia’s biggest T20 league. The players have made the decision citing workload management issues. They have decided to instead take a break from the on-field action.

Meanwhile, leg spinner Shadab Khan along with Haris Rauf has departed to participate in the league. Power hitter Fakhar Zaman is under negotiations with one of the teams of the league. All the national players will return before the Pakistan Super League 2022 edition.
