KARACHI: Pakistan Super League’s most-valuable franchise Karachi Kings has announced Babar Azam as its captain on Tuesday.
Star batter is already the Pakistan’s men’s team all-format captain. He now takes over the reigns of KK from all-rounder Imad Wasim who had been leading the side for the last four years.
KK won the PSL in 2020, beating Lahore Qalandars in the final. Things are said to had gone sour between KK and Babar of late, but with the announcement, things look much better now.
KK owner Salman Iqbal thanked Imad for his services and welcomed Babar to lead the Kings.
