Babar and Virat ‘do not want to rely on past performances’

DUBAI: Babar Azam addressed a press conference here on Saturday, announcing the final 12-men squad for the game against India. He said that the team did not look in the past, adding that the team was excited about the match and confident of a ‘positive result’.

India captain Virat Kohli also addressed the media before the all-important India-Pakistan game where he said that India would have to play their best cricket to beat Pakistan.

He added that they did not rely on past world cup match results. The Indian team is yet to be announced.

India and Pakistan will face each other on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium at 07:00 PM (PST). Pakistan’s 12-men squad for the game comprises Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan (VC), Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf.
