ISLAMABAD: In a session on Thursday, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has told the provinces to accelerate the vaccination drives as Omicron was spreading across the globe rapidly. The NCOC also advised to set up oxygen plants in rural areas.
During the session, the members discussed plan(s) to tackle the pandemic along with the vaccination strategy. The response team for coronavirus also discussed the stats regarding the new cases, deaths, and positivity ratio.
According to the stats of the last 24 hours, 44,137 tests were conducted, resulting in 377 positive cases. More than 900 patients are in critical condition while eight patients lost their lives. The positivity ratio was recorded at 0.85 per cent.
