LAHORE: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Textile & Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood has labelled the trade relations with India as the ‘need of the hour’. He said that trade links would benefit both sides.

Mr Dawood, while talking to the media at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’s exhibition, explained that the commerce ministry wanted the revival of trade with India. He extended his support to trade with India and said that it would prove to be beneficial for Pakistan.

The Adviser also talked about the condition of textile exports, briefing that by June 30, 2021-22, the exports would achieve the target of Rs21 billion. Next year the target would be raised to Rs27 billion.

Regarding other exports, the commerce adviser said that products from healthcare and engineering could be added for exports as the country needed to expand its export. He attributed the rising prices to imports and said that the condition would persist.
