Karachi: On Monday, the subsidiary organisation of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) University – ZABTech (iTVE) signed the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement for outsourcing the O&M of Hub CoE with the Government of Balochistan.
The partnership has been formed through the Balochistan Public-Private Partnership Authority (BPPPA) and the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA).
The signing ceremony took place at ZABTech (iTVE), Karachi. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, was present at the ceremony as a Chief Guest. Key stakeholders of BPPPA, BTEVTA, SZABIST University and ZABTech (iTVE) attended the event.
Abdul Aziz Uqaili, in his address, termed the partnership a significant step towards improving the skills and employability of the youth in Balochistan. He believed that public-private partnerships can play a vital role in promoting economic development and improving the overall lives of people in Balochistan.
The collaboration has been formed with the aim to boost technical education and vocational training in Balochistan. Under the agreement, more than 2,700 students will receive quality training tailored to the requirements of the Hub City. Hub is currently hosting numerous industrial entities including the HITE and LIEDA.
