Cold winds from Quetta gained strength in Karachi from Wednesday night and continued till Thursday morning. The temperature in Karachi is likely to touch 7 degrees Celsius. Reports suggest that strong winds in Karachi will prevail till January 17. Currently, the entire country is under the influence of intense cold weather.
Malika Kohsar Murree is receiving snowfall on a daily basis and tourists are facing difficulties due to slippery roads. Heavy snowfall has blocked the roads in the upper region of Azad Kashmir. Met Office has forecasted rain and snowfall in 13 districts of Balochistan.

According to the Department, from January 11 to 13, Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Ziarat, Nokundi, Dalbandin, Kalat Mastung, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Pashin and adjacent areas will receive rain and snowfall. The temperature dropped to -11 degrees in Ziarat, and -10 degrees in Kan Mehtarzai. Quetta Chaman highway was closed for traffic because of heavy fog.
