In the field of video calling and conference meeting applications, Zoom and Google Meet are about to face tough competition as Meta-owned WhatsApp has introduced a game-changing feature that would allow users to enjoy all the features of a conference call and virtual meetings.
WhatsApp will roll out a new update that will allow users to share their computer or phone screen with others during video calls. Therefore, virtual meetings can now be held directly through WhatsApp, making communication extremely easy.
During a video call, users can click the new icon at the bottom of the screen to share their screen with everyone on the call.
The shared screen option will include notifications, recording and shared with others options. To avoid interruptions during a call, a “Do Not Disturb” mode or a similar focus mode would be rolled out as well.
