Team director of Men in Green Mohammad Hafeez has said that the Pakistan team has fully prepared for the Test series challenge and has arrived with the mindset of defeating Australia.
Pakistan and Australia will lock horns for the first Test in Perth on December 14. While talking to the media during team’s practice in Perth, Mohammad Hafeez showed disappointment on the arrangments of four -the day match in Canberra. Hafeez said that it was the slowest pitch he witnessed in Australia but it could be a part of strategy. He added that either way the team is prepared for the Test series.
The professor said that Pakistan has been well-settled in this test format and has shown great performance for the country. “We have come here to defeat Australia, not to compete,” he said. “We have a talented team and the boys are excited to express their abilities and win here”. Hafeez added.
He updated that Abrar Ahmed got unfit, however rest of the team is fully fit for the series. Abrar Ahmed is under rehabilitation and will miss out on the first Test.
Regarding Natham Lyon, Mohammad Hafeez said that he is a fine bowler who has won several Tests for his country but the green caps play the off-spinner very well and have scored brilliantly against him in the last few series.
