DUBAI: In a major global trade development, the two Middle East giants – the United Arab Emirates and Israel have signed a free trade deal, allowing the countries to “work together” and “create jobs”.
Israel’s Ambassador to the UAE Amir Hayek tweeted “Done” in a follow-up tweet to his original tweet in which he had revealed that the two countries would be signing the free trade deal shortly.
UAE has been relentlessly pursuing the developed and developing countries to sign free trade deals with them following the disastrous Covid-enforced economic meltdown.
UAE had long been the torch-bearer of no relations with Israel until the land of Palestine was given its due freedom. However, things changed when the United States brokered a deal between the two states back in September 2020, hurting the freedom cause of Palestine backed by the Arab land.
