MICHIGAN: Three students lost their lives Tuesday when a fifteen-year-old boy started firing inside the Oxford High School, Michigan.
The suspect used his father’s pistol for the bloodbath in which eight people also got wounded. Two girls aged 17 and 14, along with a boy aged 16, died in the incident.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard briefed the media in which he said that emergency authorities received over 100 calls when the incident took place. He said that the deputies caught the perpetrator in the hallway with the weapon where he surrendered. Quick action on part of the authorities prevented more people from getting injured.
The sheriff added that the suspect has refused to talk to the investigators, with his parents having arranged a lawyer for him. There are no previous disciplinary charges against him. The suspect has been placed at a juvenile detention centre. His name has not been disclosed by the police as he is a minor.
