LAHORE: Pakistan’s star batsman and captain Babar Azam has said that the team was in high spirits for the upcoming World T20. He stated that he did want to think of past as he believed in staying positive and ‘looking forward’. He was talking to reporters here on Wednesday.
Babar made no secret of the team’s game against India and said that there is always added pressure against the arch-rivals at the World Cups. He said that the team was eager to gain momentum by winning the first game, which happens to be against India.
The no. 2 ranked T20 batsman in the world said that seniors’ presence in the team would be very beneficial for youngsters. “Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, and Sarfraz Ahmed’s will presence in the team will be crucial and beneficial for youngsters.”
The skipper also hinted at the possibility of changing the opening order as per need, but maintains that at the moment he and Mohammad Rizwan will walk out to the middle to open the innings.
