According to reports from Times of India, “King” boasts an impressive budget of INR 2 billion and is currently undergoing intensive pre-production phases under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The creative team, dedicatedly refining the script and meticulously planning the film’s grandiose visuals and intricate action set-pieces, is poised to set new benchmarks in the action genre.
Sources close to Bollywood Hungama have revealed that “King” is envisioned as a groundbreaking action extravaganza, aiming to revolutionise the genre by seamlessly blending real action with state-of-the-art VFX. This ambitious vision has led to a collaboration with top-tier international stunt coordinators, ensuring a global standard of action thrills that will captivate audiences worldwide.
Production is scheduled to commence in May, spanning over five months with plans for a premiere by the end of 2025. Beyond marking Shah Rukh Khan’s significant comeback following his last appearance in “Dunki”, “King” also serves as a platform to introduce Suhana Khan in a pivotal role, following her acclaimed debut in Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies,” which garnered attention and praise upon its release on OTT platforms.
