Former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Simon Doull has criticised the lifeless pitches prepared for the New Zealand Test series. On Day 3 of the game, with Saud Shakeel and Sarfaraz Ahmed batting at the crease, the Kiwi commentator was heard saying: “Did Babar give directives to prepare roads to improve his stats or did directions come from above him?”
It is safe to say that the Pakistan sports journalists and fans were not pleased with the comments and criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team management for failing to produce sporting wickets.

PAKvNZ pic.twitter.com/upLwRGgcHk

Shameful. If anything, Ramiz should have been sacked alone for trying to fix pitches when they didn't need any fixing in the first place. Completely wrecked a blockbuster home season for Pakistan. https://t.co/lNcfl3BPLB
