On Tuesday, the Saudi-led coalition launched airstrikes on the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, against the Houthi group claiming 14 lives.
According to the Saudi state media, the airstrikes were carried out at the Houthi group’s strongholds and camps. It added that the strike was the deadliest carried on Sanaa since 2019. Reports claim that a strike on a former military official’s house resulted in 14 deaths. Al Arabiya’s report said that Houthi leader Major-General Abdullah Qaseem Al-Junaid was killed in the attack.
A spokesperson of the coalition briefed that recent strikes were a necessity and a response to the threats. On Monday, the Houthi group had attacked the UAE sites in which three people were killed. UAE said that responding to the terrorist attacks was their right after having been attacked.
