RAWALPINDI: A woman was sexually assaulted in Rehmanabad Metro Bus Station on Tuesday. The suspect is an IT student who was immediately detained after an FIR was filed against him.
The victim said that she was a Lahore resident and went to Rawalpindi for a job interview at a boys’ hostel.
According to her, the job was posted by the suspect on a Facebook account. Her brother contacted him after which she travelled to Pindi along with her aunt.
She said that the suspect forcefully dragged her to a hostel room followed by physical torture. He later took her at a metro bus underpass where he raped her.
Police said that DNA tests were yet to be conducted, and the victim was admitted to the hospital for medical examination.
