LAHORE: Pakistan’s former president and Supreme Court’s former judge Muhammad Rafiq Tarar passed away here on Monday. Tarar was 92.
The news was shared by his grandson, Ataullah Tarar, on Twitter. According to his family, he had long been battling health related issues.

His funeral prayer will be held after Asr prayers at 4:45pm at Jamia-e-Ashrafia. Tarar served as the president of the country for three and a half years from Jan 1998 till June 2001. Tarar had also served as a Supreme Court judge from January 1991 to November 1994 before he decided to venture into politics in 1998.
